Details

The TELETEST PC is a handheld PC monitor test pattern generator for use by computer engineers and technicians.

Essential for repairing and re-calibrating PC monitors or diagnosing if a fault exists on a video driver card. It can also be used for setting up data projectors or test cabling without having to carry around a PC.

The TELETEST PC generates 8 textbook accurate test patterns at VGA and S-VGA levels. This unit does not produce XGA levels as it assumes that all XGA monitors will take S-VGA signals.

It has a sync inverter switch for dealing with differing specifications.

Powered from either a 9V battery or a mains adapter (available as an optional extras).

Explanation for unique patterns
  • Dots: Extremely useful for ensuring good focus and convergence. Ideal for use with data projectors.
  • Red purity: To correct colour purity & check for dooming from stray magnetic fields.
  • White purity: Used as a source of peak white to calibrate the video amp circuitry.
  • 7MHz frequency burst: Shows the resolution of the screen & indicates potential echoing problems or resolution issues with poorly connected cables.
